Do I really need a guru?

I have already written about it but I guess people really need to understand this.

Guru is mandatory in spirituality. But, I know you don't have one for now. So, what you can do is, you can consider Rishis as your guides for now and they will lead you to a guru. Rishis are complete in themselves so if you pray to them they can guide you. Now, I know many of you will think why shouldn't we consider shiva or Vishnu or some other diety your guru or guide. But, the thing is they can only be accessed by Sadhna, but it's not the case with rishis.

So, in morning start praying to rishis and start inculcating their life style and habits in yourself and feel like he is residing within you now and your own existence is no more there.

I read answers related to this and many similar questions and came to know how people randomly make anyone their guru. Some are even greater than them, they consider shiva as their direct guru. They don't understand this thing that they're not even this eligible, that a human guru will accept him/her but they are confident enough that they possess the qualities to be a direct disciple of shiva himself.

Don't make anyone your guru, specially you haven't met him physically or have received deeksha from him. I saw many people considering Sadhguru as their guru and that's cool if they have recieved deeksha. But, if they are considering him their guru without initiation, they are fools. Only a mahaguru can guide you without physical initiation and mahagururs are very very rare these days.
